8-Week Classes

Our 8-week classes are a great option for beginner and intermediate potters who want structure and weekly practice time.

The 8-week class includes

  • 2 hours of instruction per week

  • 1 bag of clay (25 pounds) included for first-time students

  • Studio glazes, bisque and glaze firings included with clay

  • Dedicated shelf (24" x 24") to store pieces and tools 

  • Shared communal pottery tools

  • Practice hours when the studio is open. Wheel access not guaranteed, first come first serve

  • $440 for an 8-week class

Class Details

  • This is a 8-week pottery course open to students of all levels and will cover the following:

    • Different stages of the ceramics process

    • How to use a pottery wheel and throwing basics

    • Throw a bowl, mug/cylinder, dish, and more 

    • Trim and glaze your pieces

    • Surface decoration techniques

    • Any additional suggestions to your instructor!

  • All materials (clay, basic tools, glazes) are provided. You might want to bring an apron, towel, and a notebook to take notes and sketch ideas

  • There are 10 students per class, adults only (18+)

Cancellation and
Missed Class Policy

Please send all cancellation requests via email (cozyclaywoburn@gmail.com)

  • If you cancel 7 days before the first day of class, you will receive 100% refund minus $40 administrative fees

  • If you cancel within 4 to 7 days before the first day of class, you will receive 50% refund, minus $40 administrative fees

  • If you cancel with less than 4 days before the first day of class, you will not receive a refund

  • If you miss a class, you may attend another class on a different day to watch the demonstration, but a wheel is not guaranteed
